To give a presentation at the Puerto Rico Meeting, you must submit an abstract (300 word limit) through the AAS/OASIS abstract form.

Late Abstract Deadline: 5:00 pm EDT, Tuesday, 8 September 2009


  • One contributed planetary presentation per person. The following exceptions do not count as your one contribution.
    • History talk or poster
    • Education talk or poster
    • Decadal Survey "White Poster"
    • Invited talks
  • Non-members may only present one time at a DPS Meeting. Non-members must have a DPS member sponsor their presentation. Non-members must enter the sponsor's name before accessing the abstract form. The sponsor will be notified.


You will need your AAS login and password. If you do not know your AAS login and password, do not wait until the last minute to start your abstract submission. Setting up a new account or accessing an existing account when your email address has changed can prove time consuming. The forms are set-up to assist you in obtaining your login, renewing your membership or creating a new account.

If you choose to register online for the meeting, you will use this same AAS login and password. Registration and abstract submission are separate processes. Don't forget to register!

When you log in to the abstract site, you will need to answer some questions, choose a session, and type (or paste) your abstract. Once you have given the answers through the title, you can log back in to the system and edit the abstract, so it's best to start early rather than waiting until your abstract is finished.

Abstract Assistance - OASIS

The abstract forms contain instructions on the various steps required to complete a submission. Once you have completed the Title Step you are assigned a control number and may exit and re-enter the system. The abstract must be complete by the deadline, Wednesday, 22 July 2009.
